Arcade

One of the main selling points of BarbieGirls.com was it's games. Based on the popularity of flash games at the time, Barbie Girls had their own Arcade of games which could be accessed at any time or through the Barbie Girls Central. There were 17 games in total in which only 4 were V.I.P. members exclusives.

Playing games was the main source of winning B Bucks and were needed in orther to complete Fun Badges collections.

Other games and activities such as Sparkle Coaster Race, Club Beauty, Deck Out the Rec! and Which Fashionista are You? were not available through the Arcade.

The Games

When BarbieGirls.com was first released in it's BETA form the Arcade only had to non original games. They were taken from other Mattel owned brands such as Barbie, MyScene and Pixel Chix. As most of those games were based on simple tasks and not level progression / winning or losing, they awarded the players the same amount of 10 B Bucks.

Once the Beta phase was finished and the website upgraded, there were 10 games to play in the arcade or accessed in hangouts: Word Search in B Park, Smashin' Fruit in B Café, Air Hockey Rally in Furni Fever, Tricky Triplets in B Chic Boutique / B Kooky Costumes, Fashion Frenzy in B Stylin' Shop, Crystal's Mystical Fortunes and Crazy Carpet Ride in Purple Parlor, Shimmy Bop Pets in Tail-Shakin' Tree House, Jammin' Hamster (the only non original Barbie Girls game) in B Posh Pets and Jungle River Boogie through Paw Pawlooza map.

Other games were then added through the years starting with Puzzle Scram!, Dazzling Designs through Shop-a-Mallics map, Lady Buggin'!, Sudoku, Litter Blast, Barbie Girls Tiara Trivia and finally Design Idol which could be accessed through Glam Gowns and was a multi-player competition with it's own webpage.
