The Hangouts
Christmas was the most decorated event of BarbieGirls.com. On 2008, a bit simpler, only B Park and B Café were decorated, B Park covered in snow with a gingerbread house and snowgirl who may have take a bite on the house while B Café was described as a Winter Ball, having Nutcracker suite as soundtrack. On 2009, with the new activity of the Missing Frisky Pets, Tail-Shakin' Treehouse was also covered in snow and with the pets in winter gear and also the new favorite place Twilight Woods which was also covered in snow and had a special decorated table (this since the place had exclusive Christmas pajamas). On the last edition, 2010, all previous places were decorated plus the new addition of Enchanted Bay, a V.I.P. only hangout were players could ice skate (the place stayed on Shop-a-Mallics even after the event was over). The map was also decorated marking each decorated place by being covered in snow.
The Costumes
In 2008, the first edition of the event, all users received three free Christmas items (Hat, Mint Purse, Fur Boots), available for buying was the Igloo Dress, Santa Dress, Candy Cane Dress and Fur Jacket at Glam Gowns.
On 2009 the previous clothes came back and with new ones available at Twilight Woods: Snowflake PJ (top, pants, slippers, teddy bear purse) and Candy Cane PJ (top, pants, slippers, teddy bear purse). It was the first time players had the opportunity to get pajamas, that before were only available trough PJ Party Packs or V.I.P. Subscription.
On the last edition, in 2010, all previous clothes were available plus a new set (hair with earmuffs, snowflake earrings, dress and boots) at B Stylin' Shop and B Charmed Accessories. A new purse was given to all players while previous free items were only available to buy at shops. A new fur vest was added as a reward from the Festive Holiday Fashions Collection of badges.
The Furniture
On 2008, Furni Fever received exclusives items themed around Christmas and Winter for which V.I.P. Members could decorate their rooms with. It was: Christmas Tree, Fireplace, Snowflake Lights. The second edition didn't have any new furniture and only on the last edition, in 2010, a new item was added, a Fur Chair like the one in B Café during certain events.
Missing Frisky Pets
On 2009 a new activity was added and a very unique one through the world of BarbieGirls.com . During the event V.I.P. players were noticed that the koala, giraffe and elephant of B Posh Pets went missing after they ran out to play in the snow. The pets could be found in some of the decorated places for the event: the Koala was playing in B Park, the Elephant in B Café and the Giraffe in Tail-Shakin' Treehouse. When each pet was found players would earn 100 B Bucks plus 200 B Bucks when all three were found.
After that the pets could be adopted at the shop in a different set of colors than the original ones from the Deco Packs. It was also one of the few chances players had to get different pets than the ones in B Posh Pets without additional costs. On 2010 the same activity was also available even though the pets were never removed from the website and could be found all year round.
Holiday Goodie game
On 2010, like Halloween, a goodie game for only V.I.P. was added: the Holiday Goodie Game which was a type of treasure hunt. Across the world of Barbie Girls (marked on the map with the places covered in snow) a pile of gifts was hidden in the decorated places of the event as such: B Café, B Park, Enchanted Bay, Tail-Shakin' Tree House and Twilight Woods. Each pile of presents would give a gift each day like event exclusive items or B Bucks. On the page of Design Idol there was a pile of presents for all players with codes to receive B Bucks.
The Badges
Festive Holiday Fashions
After the big update that was the inclusion of achievements,on 2010, they started to add collections of badges for a limited time for events. For the Fashion Badges, Festive Holiday Fashions, V.I.P. Members would have to get all Christmas exclusive clothing items and accessories. While having more badges, it is easier to complete than the Halloween or Summer Scavenger since those ones were for sets. The reward was a faux-fur vest, the trophy stand and 250 B Bucks.
Jolly Holiday Fun
Like Halloween on Barbie Girls, Christmas also had a Fun Collection of gem badges: Jolly Holiday Fun. They consisted in different stuff for players to do such as getting all exclusive Christmas furniture, playing the Holiday Goodie Game in each location or simply giving gifts to other players or receiving gifts from them. The rewards were a furniture which was the Snowgirl furni, exactly like the one in B Park, a trophy stand and 250 B Bucks.
Buzz & Goss
As usual, the Buzz & Goss was decorated for Chistmas as candy.
