Fours regions full of hangouts
The World
As most virtual worlds at the times, the world of Barbie Girls had many places for users to visit and interact. Originally a single region in the BETA version of the website, the 2008 renewed website had a larger map that was divided into four regions based of themes and interest: Total GirlHood, Shop-a-Mallics, Paw Pawlooza and Extreme DreamPark. Four new hangouts were added to the original nine and as time went on more hangouts and shops were added to all the regions. The map also gave access to some arcade games and to the Buzz & Goss. Some changes happened to the map during special events such as Christmas or constructions such as B Kooky Costumes, B Fashionistas or Rockin' Rec Center.
Shop-a-Mallics
The old BETA map of BarbieGirls.com was mostly turned into Shop-a-Mallics, the region with the most hangouts and shops and had the most updates. As such it was the most popular and visited region of the game. The region started with the V.I.P. exclusives Club Beauty and Glam Gowns, the shops B Stylin' Shop, B Chic Boutique, B Charmed Accessories, Furni Fever and the hangouts B Café, B Cinemas and B Park. Early 2009 the game Dazzling Designs was added followed in Halloween of the same year by the transformation of B Chic Boutique into B Kooky Costumes (V.I.P. only). A month later there was the construction of B Fab Fashionistas and on late 2010 the final hangout of Barbie Girls was added, Enchanted Bay (V.I.P. only).
Paw Pawlooza
After the big update on the Barbie Girls website back in 2008, the region of Paw Pawlooza was added to the map. Paw Pawlooza turned into the place for all animal lovers and to adopt the pets, a V.I.P. exclusive feature. All members could find the old B Posh Pets, the newly added Tail-Shakin' Tree House hangout and the game Jungle River Boogie, both just for V.I.P. members. On Fall 2010 a final hangout was added to the region, the hangout Groom and Glam Pet Salon.
TOTAL GIRLHOOD
Total GirlHood started as a small region dedicated to the Barbie Girls. As the girly neighborhood of the world, players could find more interactive things to do and the players rooms. To the Barbie Girls Rooms server a new starting hangout was added: B Central and later on the blimp Buzz & Goss. On Spring 2010 the hangout Rockin' Rec Center was under construction and later on finishesed.
EXTREME dreamPARK
Extreme DreamPark was the region with totally new places added after the 2008 update. Themed after a theme park, the places were more fantasy driven. It started with the all members Purple Parlor and the V.I.P. exclusive Sparkle Coaster Place. On Summer 2009 the V.I.P. exclusive Twilight Woods was added, the first new hangout on the site after the big update,
