Summer Scavenger Hunt

Summer Fashion Scavenger Hunt is an event that happened during 2009 and 2010 in the months of Summer. The two editions of the event while different in their playthrough, consisted in a search for letters, on the first edition, or items, on the second edition, hidden across the world of BarbieGirls.com . The mystery hunt would award the players with fashion items, the main focus of the event. As such it didn't had any decorations on the hangouts but it was the event with the biggest number of exclusive clothes and accessories. It also had an exclusive Fashion badges collection, being the first one of them. The event also had a weekly schedule, having a new mystery each week for players to find and solve.

Mystery Hunt

Mystery Hunt was the first edition of the event, on Summer 2009. As such it was a bit more simple than it's next edition. There were 5 mysteries for players to solve, each released weekly. In each week letters would be hidden across the world of BarbieGirls.com (not in V.I.P. places), after finding all letters a word should be made from them and inserted in the secret codes button in other to receive the item of that word. The words were: PURSE, FLOPS, SCARF, SHORTS, SANDALS. All codes were only available in it's week of release and available to everyone. With each week a set of clothes was released to go with the mystery item available to buy for V.I.P. in B Stylin' Shop, B Chic Boutique and B Charmed Accessories. After the event was over all the clothes were unavailable.

Summer Scavenger Hunt

The second edition of the event and last, Summer Scavenger Hunt, happened from 1st of July 2010 and extended until 7th of October of the same year (before Halloween started). Much longer and bigger than the previous edition, new scavenger hunts were added every 2 weeks. Unlike the previous year, players had to search for a mystery item added in different colors across the world of Barbie Girls (shopping bag, magazine, hanger, purse, bow, shoe). After finding all items (each item gave 20 B Bucks) of each type players would earn a set of clothes and accessories (which most . Also this time only the first week was available to all players, and the other weeks all had an item in a V.I.P. exclusive place that enabled non v.i.p players to get the sets. After each scavenger hunt completed players would earn a fashion badge. All 6 mystery hunts were available until the end of the event with each having a clue for the item to be found and a collection checklist.

The Badges

Summer Scavenger Hunt was the first release of the Fashion type gem badges. Called the Exclusive Summer Fashion Scavenger Hunt, players in order to win each badge would have to solve each mystery and get each set . After all badges were collected the completion prize was a set of clothes (Hairstyle, dress, boots, purse) very much like the Pink Fashion Pack Exclusive clothes, plus a trophy and 250 B Bucks. After the event was over the badges were no longer possible to win.
